Massage chairs have the potential to be significant investment. Therefore, it is important for you to do some research beforehand. Your decision to buy a massage chair is typically influenced by your requirements and budget. Asking yourself some right questions to ascertain your needs before making the purchase can help you make the right choice.

A massage chair is specifically designed to stimulate the pressure points in your body and relax your muscles. A well-designed massage chair should provide you relief from pain as well as complete relaxation. The two most common types of massage chair are Shiatsu and Swedish massage chairs. Shiatsu massage chairs use a combination of movements to stimulate the body̢۪s pressure points by the help of pressing, patting, sweeping, rolling, and rotation movements, while Swedish massage chairs use long and smooth strokes combined with kneading movement.

What Are Benefits Of Using A Massage Chair?
Knowing the benefits of a product like massage chair can emphasize the need for that product and educate you towards its important. The benefits of having a good massage chair are manifold specifically for your health. Here are some of the most common benefits:

* Totally freedom from stress and deep relaxation
* Relief from stiffness and tension in muscles
* Reduction in body tension and muscle spasm
* Better joint flexibility and wider range of motion
* Enhanced flexibility and efficient movement
* Reduced blood pressure levels
* Better blood circulation

Can Anyone Use A Massage Chair?
Now that you know the benefits of massage chairs, you are probably interested in knowing who can use it. Well, massage chairs are typically designed for an average height of 5'10". So, if you are much taller or shorter than this height, we suggest you give the massage chair a try before buying it. Ask the massage chair salesperson to help you learn the controls so that you can adjust the position of the various nodes and rollers for maximum benefit. Certain brands, such as Panasonic offer massage chairs that automatically adjust to your height by sensing the top of your shoulders when seated. If you are over 6 feet tall or suffer from knee, hip, or lower back pain then don't buy a massage chair that is very low to the ground.

What features should the massage chair have?
Having too many features in your massage chair can mean paying a higher dollar. More often than not, most people use only some specific features on a regular basis. Choose a massage chair with features that match your needs. For ex: of you are prone to muscle tension and stiffness, then you should invest in a massage chair that offers excellent mechanical massage to your body or specific area of your body. A good example of this is the Isymphonic massage chair that has been designed to be especially effective in the neck and shoulder areas. Panasonic's Pro Elite comes with airbags in the chairs arms that inflate and deflate to massage the neck and shoulder areas. Some other chairs have air bags that inflate and deflate in the legs and foot region, while others have them in the lower back, hip, and buttocks areas.

When testing the massage chair, also pay special attention to the pressure or intensity of the massage offered. Though the intensity of the massage can be adjusted according to individual preference, you must sit in the chair for at least 15 minutes to ascertain that the pressure and comfort are acceptable.

If you like to sit with your legs on a higher level, then check if the massage chair has an extendable leg rest or an ottoman.

Where Should You Put The Massage Chair?
Now that you have tested the massage chair and probably made up your mind about which chair to buy, its time to think about where you can keep the chair. Since massage chairs are bulky, they require more space. Usually, a bedroom or a home office is the most popular choice for putting a massage chair in. Discuss with people who will be using the massage chair to make sure that the place where you keep the chair works for them or not.

Reclining massage chairs cant be kept with their back close to a wall. A better idea is to measure the space where youd want to put the massage chair before making a selection. You can also seek the advice of a chair salesperson to find out the area required for your massage chair.

If you are not sure where youll put the chair, you may want to buy one with wheels like the Ijoy. Not only can you move it from one room to another but also keep it out of sight when not in use. But if you are facing a space crunch, then opt for a portable massage cushion. Though not as rich in features as a regular massage chair, the cushion can be placed on any chair and is easy to stow away.

What Should My Budget Be?
Budget! Perhaps, one of the main deciding factors when investing in a massage chair. The general range for massage chairs starts at around $700 and can go up to $6000 or more. A word of caution - price is not an indication of quality. High priced models are completely feature packed and you never use most of these feature in your lifetime!

Remember, a good massage chair can alleviate your daily stress and body tension in a matter of minutes. But never buy one without trying it for yourself.

For individuals preparing for their next marathon, or leisure running event, you know how important it is to keep your body fully hydrated to maintain your ultimate peak performance. But no matter what level of runner you are, having properly designed running hydration gear can be the vital reinforcement in helping you get across that finish line safely!

A balanced performance level for runners is a very important component, and your concentration level plays a key role in keeping proper pace, and maintaining your ability to read the warning signs your body is telling you. This is why the correct sports apparel and running equipment is just as important as the training for the serious running enthusiast.

Hydration accessories play a key role in the runners' mix of sports products needed to keep their endurance at the level required by the individual runner. Many designs are currently available that not only provide functionality, but also offer comfort and stability. While running long distance, or taking short mountainous trail runs, the last thing you want to be worrying about is if your water pack is fitting correctly, and the gear content isn't shifting and bouncing all over your body.

With inferior product designs, you will experience more frustration, and with your attention focusing on your bottle gear, and not your activity, you increase your chances of throwing your concentration off, or even worse, you may seriously injure yourself.

Hydration Packs Are Specially Designed Running Systems!

Like proper running shoes, athletic clothing, and accessories such as a pedometer, all have certain features that you desire in order to assist you in an overall better performance. The same applies when you choose your hydration pack, because all packs are not created equal, and they also have features that may differ in application.

The right running system for you will determine on what level of comfort you're looking for and also the required function. If you're a speed walker, you may feel the packs with the water bottles will be sufficient, however, if you're a full out long distant runner, having bottles may be a hindrance, and switching to a more stable waist pack with a bladder/reservoir system, plus also adjustable features that will prevent bouncing during your stride, may be exactly what you're looking for in a water hydration system.

The good news is that with the incredible technology and design, you have many options today than ever before, and when you start searching outdoor sporting good stores, or online bag suppliers, you should have no worries finding the right running pack that's right for your needs.

As an athlete, I understand the importance of maintaining the concentration levels during a good run, or any other sporting activity that requires your mind to keep that necessary focus. Having the best hydration tools to help you achieve your goals, and prevent you from breaking your level of concentration is crucial to any sport. Keeping your body fully hydrated is surely important to you and your health, so there should be no compromise when you decide to select your running hydration pack system!

You may not have noticed but there is a certain ingredient missing in the foods we eat which could wreck your life. Take asparagus for example. Now what could be missing? I am a chef, I can help you.

I know. I know. Vegetables that are purple are in and you buy your purple passion asparagus farm fresh. None of that stuff that's transported 1250 miles on average from factory farms to reach the produce shelf, exhausted, at your market. Nope. You get the good stuff, organically grown, from the farmers market and cook it the only approved, right and correct way; you steam it (according to a recent study in the Journal of the Science of Food). Good.

Then you sample it and it tastes kina good. So, what's missing? Maybe, your chef suggests, you add a little Meyers lemon butter, some French sea salt and imported, fresh ground black pepper. Now it tastes really good, you gourmet with a personal chef. But something's still missing?

Now you read the fine print and find out most of the essential nutrient folate or vitamin B9 is just not all there and whatever was there was lost when you cooked it (according to the USDA). And to make matters worse, it doesn't matter where you bought the asparagus or even if it is purple, white or green. Because the only thing The United States Department of Agriculture knows for sure it that it probably does not have an adequate amount of folate for you in the first place. Read on.

All right. So folate is colorless, something you cannot taste and it is something you cannot live without. In fact you and I and whatever colored asparagus you're eating have something in common: none of us can live without folate (Andrew D. Hanson, Horticulture Sciences Department, University of Florida, personal communication). By deduction we know that the asparagus made enough for itself, but maybe not enough for you. So how do you know enough of it there or not there?

You don't, period. Science could tell you, but try and find that answer. Of course you could have a nutrient analysis done before cooking and after cooking and you would find out for sure. But that would set you back a lot of lettuce, if you get my drift. And the asparagus would not plate up very pretty and I would quit as your chef.

You say, so what? I knew that was coming. Your life without adequate folate or vitamin B9? If your primary source of folate was asparagus then you could end up putting yourself at risk for a host of devastating health problems. Here's the short list: heart disease, birth defects, retardation of development (in children) and low levels can lead to anemia in adults along with added risk for colon cancer. Oh, your body absolutely needs folate to make new cells and genetic material. Darn details

But don't throw out the asparagus, yet.

As science built the story of this missing ingredient, study by study, and discovered what happens to us when it is not all there, the Federal Government stepped in to help fix the problem. But first science proved we were not getting enough folate from our natural foods. In fact about 50 or so years ago science proved that food richest in folate is (or was) asparagus, but it is also found in other green leafy vegetables, eggs and beans. All this has been published by the USDA and the FDA. However, in 1998 the Food and Drug Administration began requiring certain grain manufacturers to fortify their foods with folic acid, a synthetic form of folate.

And low and behold folate deficiencies are becoming rare, according to nutritionists (that's what most every licensed nutritionist you can contact would most likely say-contact a few and see).

But the levels of folate in our naturally occurring foods are still to low to sustain our health and we must have our diet fortified or suffer the consequences. We know this for sure because science has established it beyond doubt and with agreement of the Federal Government. In addition, no less an authority than Harvard University ( at Harvard's Department of Public Health) says fresh fruits and vegetables alone cannot provide us with adequate nutrition-we need supplements to fill in the missing ingredients in our foods.

So we now know there are ingredients missing from our foods that were there but are not now and we do not know why: the baseline for getting adequate nutrition from our foods has shifted.

As your chef I recommend it is probably best to eat your asparagus, steamed and sauced along and pop a vitamin supplement rich in folate (a daily dose of 400 to 800 mcgs is recommended by the FDA-check it out with your doctor before you start).

Of course, if you do not like looking for missing ingredients in your foods you can eat some cereal fortified with folic acid and other yummy ingredients.

One of the biggest individuals in golf right now is arguably Michelle Wie. Born in Honolulu, Hawaii on October 11, 1989; Michelle is making headlines around the world for her outstanding performances in women's events, and particularly for her aggressiveness in competing in men's events.

While there is a bit of talk lately about the way she is supposedly getting easy access into events, I just thought we'd instead look at some of her astonishing achievements to date, that got her to the amazing position she is in now.

- Michelle first started playing golf at age 4, and played her first 18 hole round at age 7, scoring 14 over par.

- At age 12 she was the youngest ever player to qualify for an LPGA tournament (the Takefuji Classic). Then at just 13 years of age she became the youngest ever player to make an LPGA cut at the Kraft Nabisco Championship.

- At just 14 years old she was already over 6ft tall. And at only 15 she managed two second place finishes in LPGA events, and missed the cut into a few men's events by just a couple of strokes.

- She turned pro just after she turned 16, and made her first cut into a men's event. She is now receiving multi-million dollar invitations into a number of different women's and men's events, and she still hasn't turned 17.

Now they are definitely some pretty amazing accomplishments, but it's really only a sample of what Michelle has achieved. If you would like to see a full timeline of Michelle's golfing career, visit http://golf.about.com/cs/womensgolf/a/wietimeline.htm

The first thing to do before purchasing a bicycle for any reason is to know what your primary riding is going to be. Most people initially purchase a dual use bike, something that can be ridden on road and off road. Eventually, when the bug bites big it'll be time to invest in a bike that is all muscle for the mountains.

One of the ways that mountain bikes differ from other bikes is that they have very strong, lightweight frames, multiple gears, powerful breaks and wide tires. A comfort bike, or recreational weekend bike, touring bikes and cruiser bikes are built more for comfort than durability. WIthin the mountain bike category there are several types of bikes available; the cross country bike, the trials bike, the downhill bike and the jump/slalom bike.

Generally the largest percentage of mountain bikes sold are in the cross country, or XC classification. These are good dual purpose bikes. They are lightweight and good for riding over tough terrain, but they are also comfortable for road riding.

Jump/slalom bikes are also good dual purpose bikes. They are very strong and have an excellent front suspension.

Downhill and trial bikes are for serious mountain bikers. The downhill bikes have both front and rear suspension, disc breaks and are very strong. A trial bike is for a very skilled rider. Trail riding itself is a very competitive sport demanding a lot of precision. Most riders of downhill and trail bikes build their bikes from scratch, choosing each component individually.

You will want to do a lot of reading about different types of bikes, and you'll want to visit many bike shops. A cross country mountain bike can cost between $600 and $800 or more. Some bikers say that your first bike should be the best bike you can possibly afford, even if you think that it's too much bike for you. If you buy a low-end bike initially and then find you want to change components later it can get costly. Before choosing a bike you will want to ride it. Most dealers allow for a 15 to 20 minute test ride. If you do a test ride make sure you go "off road" if you can, even if it's over curbs and grass. You want to get a feel for the bike.

So you've decided to become financially independent! You've chosen to work at home. Congratulations! I'm sure this is a decision that can turn your life around and lead you to financial freedom.

But that is going to happen only if you're careful enough to let it happen! There are a few things you should really look out for when deciding to work at home.

When you set out to give the work at home business thing a try, you'll find out that this was just the easy part! The hard part is to discover which one is right for you.

With all these so called "opportunities" that flood the internet, you should be very careful in choosing a work at home business. To help you, I have put together a few simple rules :

Rule #1 : Try to avoid "get rich quick deals"

Now that's a golden rule! Usually, when something sounds too good to be true then it probably is!

Oh, I know these sound appealing and of course you would like to get paid for doing nothing (so would the rest of us!). But don't you think that if these people had the magic solution to making big money they would use it instead of trying to sell it to you for whatever price?

It's sad to know that so many people end up feeling frustrated when they realize that they have wasted their time and hard earned money. There are no magic tricks! Commitment and hard work instead, can make you rich.

Rule #2 : Find a program that you really like and can work with

Another rule that's essential! Say that you come across a program that requires you to sell life insurance. You hate insurance people, you think they're full of hype.

So what, the compensation plan looks great! What would you do? Would you join the program? Could you picture yourself selling life insurance even if you hate the very idea?
The answer is that you're never going to make any money doing something you don't like!

The point I am trying to make here is, that you should go on and find out everything there is to know about the program you are interested in. Just spend some time doing an essential reading through the available material (company website, related articles etc).

Try to get an overview of how the system works and if you need more information or if you get confused , go ahead and ask the person who referred you to the program for help. Doing your homework always pays off.

Rule #3 : Make sure you know exactly what you're getting for your money

There are just too many companies out there that present you with sales letters as long as a book but not even a hint as to what you are actually getting in return!

If the product they're selling is that good and is going to make you so much money, why hide it? Why only mention it in the last few paragraphs?

Ok, I know, it's the way sales are closed. Still, you would like to know exactly what you're buying. It could save you a lot of grief

Rule #4 : Perform a background check on the company

The longer it has been around, the better. This way you know that you're dealing with an established company that will not go bankrupt 4 months after you join!

It has been known for people to lose their online businesses and commissions owed to them for this very reason. Choosing a quality company is essential but can prove critical to the survival of your work at home business.

Rule #5 : Make sure you're going to get all the help that you need

It's just typical for someone to join a program, pay his membership fee or buy a product and then be left in the dark, not sure what on earth to do next!

Again, I'm repeating myself here but this is important, try to get an overview of how the system works, who your upline people are and how they can help you.

If you need more information or if you get confused, go ahead and ask the person who referred you to the program for help. In this way not only will you get an idea of how the program is structured but you would also be testing your referrer to see if he/she will respond promptly to your need for help.
But first, you have to have an idea of how the program works.

Rule #6 : Check out the compensation plan

Ok, so you've joined a program which ,hopefully, is going to make you rich. Do you know how this is going to happen?

It's not necessary that you know every detail about the compensation plan from the first day that you join. But still, wouldn't you like to know if you're getting 5% or 60% commission on an average sale?
After all, it takes the same amount of effort to generate a sale. Wouldn't you like to be paid more?

Rule #7 : Do not spend much at the beginning

A legitimate work at home business should be able to operate at a minimum/low cost. You should not have to invest a lot of money in any home business. At least not in the beginning.

When you do decide to invest some money into your own home business, this should be your own decision, not someone else's and must arise from your understanding that a business is what you make it.

There are more rules that I can add to these and make a really long list but this is not my goal. My goal is to provide a clear path, a few steps that should be easy to follow through the minefield of schemes and "get-rich-quick" deals to a company you can really trust.

Using your own common sense is as important as having these rules in mind when looking for an opportunity or a work at home business.

Your decision to join a program should be the result of considering facts and should not in any case come from mere curiosity. Keep in mind that there are very few true work at home opportunities out there and you have to find the one that's perfect for you!

Container gardening is fantastic. On its own, a terracotta pot is just a container and summer bedding is just some plants. However, selectively plant the summer bedding in the container, add a few sprinkles of green-fingered expertise and you have created a miniature garden-scape. You are effectively planting a garden in miniature. This is known to some people as container design planting. The constructive planting of containers allows people who may just have a balcony to enjoy a taste of horticulture; containerised planting also brings the garden within the reach of a disabled persons fork and trowel.

* Cleaning containers

To help you create thriving container plantings for the summer, please consider the following… If you intend replanting any containers you should get rid of all traces of compost from the previous year. Be scrupulous in your washing as particles of previous year's compost can harbour pests, diseases and mould spores. To ensure a clean environment for growing, wash the heavier covering of old compost off with a hose. Follow this by plunging the containers into water containing a garden disinfectant such as 'Jeyes fluid'. Scrub off any stubborn compost with a scrubbing brush, do this whilst in the disinfectant. Rinse the containers well under running water and leave them to dry. Use this method on window boxes as well, particularly if you have a build up of old compost and your planting tends to finish flowering far too early.

* Container drainage

Check your container for adequate drainage holes, If you have too few or no drainage holes at all then your plants may suffer from oxygen starvation due to excess water. To prevent drainage points becoming blocked with compost, I suggest placing a layer of broken terracotta or polystyrene bedding plant trays over the drainage holes. In fact broken polystyrene bedding plant trays can also be used to fill the main body of larger containers; this will reduce the amount of potting compost needed.<

* Compost level

Fill your container with a quality peat or loam-based compost and firm lightly. Ensure this compost stops at least 1 inch below the lip of the container; this will be your watering space.

* Planting

Hours before planting, plunge these plants in a bucket of water and thoroughly soak them. Watering like this will prevent shock upon replanting and will also help merge the plants existing compost to its new container compost. Position the plants on top of the container to get an impression of what the final planting could look like, it is better to alter positions at this stage rather than at the mucky post planting stage.

* Centre and surrounding planting

Aim to plant from the centre of the container outwards. Create a central or offset central hole big enough for the rootball of the central plant. Examples of good central plants would be a Cordyline or Phormium. Remove the pot (believe me, some people forget this) and place the plant into the hole firming the compost around it. Then, settle the rest of the plants in similar planting style around the edges. All the plants should end up at the same depth as they were in their original containers.

* Watering

Ensure the containers compost stops at least 1 inch below the lip of the container; this is to allow a watering space. Level the surface of the compost with your hand and water thoroughly until water starts to flow from the containers base. Leave the container to sit for about an hour, if after that hour any of the compost has settled then you may top it up. Wooden and unglazed terracotta containers usually require much more water due to their porous and absorbent nature. I suggest you apply a mulch of mini-chip bark or gravel to the composts surface, as well as being decorative this will lessen the containers loss of water through evaporation.

Choosing the right running shoe can make a all the difference in whether you stay healthy or become injured running and also determine if you will be comfortable or be in pain while running.

Bargain shopping is the numero uno bigtime mistake made by most novice runners. You run out and by the cheapest pair of running shoes you can find. Trust me, you are not going to find a proper running shoe at Walmart!

Thinking cheap will end up making you quit running due to the sheer misery of having bad shoes. Some of those who are more tenacious may wait until they blow out their knee or have major shin splints before they throw in the towel.

With all the choices and high tech shoes available today, choosing the right pair of running shoes for you can be an arduous task at best. But here are some guidelines to help you.

First you need to understand pronation, which is rolling of the foot from heel to toe through the foot strike. A proper or neutral pronation is hitting the outside of the heel and up to ball of your foot evenly across the front. This is how your foot reduces the stress of impact.
Underpronation is not enough evening out so the outside of your foot takes most of the shock instead of finishing in the neutral position.
Overpronation is too much roll across from the outside to the inside of your foot.
To determine your level of pronation, look at your shoes you walk or run in. Most everyone will begin on the outside of the heel, the real indicator would be the wear on the forefoot.
If most of the shoe wear is:
• On the medial (inside) side then you Overpronate
• On the lateral (outside) side then you Underpronate
• Uniform across the forefoot then you have a Neutral Stride

This knowledge will give you the information you know to select the appropriate running shoe for your foot.

So you want to build big and powerful chest muscles? Huge big pectoral muscles (pecs) or chest muscles that command respect and adoration? You can be the proud owner of a big and powerful chest.

Many people actually think that there are 2 separate chest muscles, well there aren't. The chest muscle or pecs that you see on each side of your chest is a fan shaped one continuous muscle although they may be called by different names such as pectoralis major, minor and clavicle head to differentiate the different parts of the same muscle.

All chest exercises work your chest muscle but from different angles which places different stress on your chest. You need to use a variety of chest muscle exercises to hit your pecs at various angles to stimulate massive muscle growth. Each different angle you use with any chest muscle exercises will reach into various different fibers in your chest muscles for effective stimulation of different areas of your pecs so that your entire chest will grow muscles fast and symmetrically giving you that broad and powerful chest that threatens to rip through your t-shirt.

For best results building your chest muscles, use free weights, especially dumb bells instead of machines. Chest muscle workout that use any chest machines should be avoided as it has many disadvantages like it will not only produce the desired results may also cause injuries because of its narrow range of movements. Your chest muscles will also not grow fast because machine exercises lack the involvement of synergistic muscles or surpporting muscles. As with any weightlifting workout, proper lifting form and techniques are of paramount importance.

Many people typically use only 1 or 2 types of chest exercises and almost invariably, it's the flat bench press and flys. Well, to build a powerfully big and well chiseled chest muscles, that is a fatal mistake as you do not adequately hit the pecs from all angles so as to stimulate muscle growth in your entire chest muscle. All chest muscle exercises will not only work your chest but also your delts, biceps and triceps to a lesser extent. So you need to focus, visualize and to concentrate the force on the chest. Mind and your chest muscle connection is vital here so as to make your chest work harder instead of using your triceps, delts or biceps to power your chest workout. Also work on the full range of motion and squeeze your chest muscles hard at every top of each movement. Always lower your weight slowly and deliberately fighting gravity to provide more resistance to your chest muscles and therefore elicit more muscle fibers for more muscle growth.

A word of caution though. You will need a spotter or a personal trainer for safety reasons because you must lift heavy for excellent muscle gain especially so for chest muscle development. Your spotter or personal trainer will also be able to correct your mistakes and help you with forced reps to reach into the deep tissues to elicit maximum muscle fiber stimulation.

This article explains a few things about tae kwon do, and if you're interested, then this is worth reading, because you can never tell what you don't know.

The kicks used in Taekwondo sparring are more striking than in any other martial art. Even though the kicks in poomse are simpler than the ones used in sparring, they can be equally as impressive if executed properly.

Also, a good, solid front kick is more impressive than an impromptu tornado or double roundhouse kick.
What is it that makes a great taekwondo kick?

1. Balance.

Balance may not be seem as obvious as you think. And balance is more than just not ending up on the floor. It is a matter of fluidity, of gracefulness, of naturalness.

With a properly balanced kick, the supporting foot does not wobble, the hands do not flail about, and the athlete does not rush to complete the kick.

Also, the athlete begins and ends the technique in the proper stances without having to correct the stances to accommodate the kick.

Practice moving within your stances. When you feel comfortable doing simple things within your stances, you should try to kick from one stance into another.

2. Proper form.

Having proper form is a requirement to having a beautiful kick. Proper form may be defined as the correct positions to which the entire body enters as it performs a kick from start to finish.

It is wise to talk with your instructor or other certified professional martial artist to learn the more articulate details of proper form. They will have the answers to any questions that you may have.

Those of you not familiar with the latest on tae kwon do now have at least a basic understanding. But there's more to come.

3. Control.

The kick in Taekwondo is not supposed to be like that of a whip. It does not have to be so fast that it cannot be seen.

Instead, the kick is to be relished and beheld as the single most attractive feature of Taekwondo.
It is therefore necessary to control the kick. Controlling the kick involves the ability to freeze the kick for a split second at full extension.

This ë°¼reeze?is the life of the kick. It is the most memorable and beautiful part of the kick. Controlling the kick is not that easy though. Usually it involves much concentration and many years of practice.

Form is a must to both control and power. If you are not sure that you are doing the kick with proper form yet, keep working on the form part before you begin working on the control part.

Control takes some muscle development and patience, but it is well worth all the effort in the end.

4. Power.

Nothing is worse than seeing someone perform a kick with great form, balance, and control, but with no power.

If this is the case, that person is better off as ballet dancer than a taekwondo practitioner. There is no such thing as an excellent kick that has no power.

Take note that proper form is needed to achieve control. And control is the factor that leads to power.

Bear in mind also that if you try to develop power without mastering the proper control first, it may result to permanent damage to your joints. So be very careful.

The process for developing power in a taekwondo kick is very similar to developing control in that same kick.

Hopefully the sections above have contributed to your understanding of tae kwon do. Share your new understanding about tae kwon do with others. They'll thank you for it.

Or have you inherited an estate from a family member and was surprised to find an abundance of autographed photos, items, cards, posters that you have no idea how to find the value much less who to sell them too?

There are several sources to find out how much your collectible or autographed collectible is worth. The internet has open a world at our finger tips, with online auctions to online stores, published price guides that can be purchased at most bookstores offer a " rough estimate", mainly it is worth what someone is will to pay for the item. Online Auctions are now a great source of finding out just that.

The key points that influence the value of autographed memorabilia is supply, demand, condition, form, content, subject, rarity. There is a demand for certain celebrity autographs and people willing to buy and sell them. That creates the market, which determines the value which is understood by both buyer and seller. Collecting autographs usually starts with a particular interest in and individual or occupation or interest in a certain subject. It is one of those hobbies that once you dibble in become a passion. Then in time become a very nice investment as those of you who have inherited collections and were surprise to find out that their value was more than you had ever imagined.

Many categories determine the price of a signature from an individual. The following abbreviations are used to help describe the type of letter or document that is being offered for sale.
· AD: Autograph Document (hand-written by the person to be collected, but not signed)
· ADS: Autograph Document Signed (written and signed by same individual)
· AL: Autograph Letter (hand-written by the person to be collected, but not signed)

· ALS: Autograph Letter Signed (hand-written and signed by same individual)
· AMs: Autograph Manuscript (hand-written; such as the draft of a play, research paper or music sheet)
· AMsS: Autograph Manuscript Signed (hand-written and signed by same individual)
· AMusQs: Autograph Musical Quotation Signed (hand-written and signed by same individual)
· AN: Autograph Note (much shorter than a letter)
· ANS: Autograph Note Signed (hand-written and signed by same individual)
· AQS: Autograph Quote Signed (hand-written and signed by same individual; poem verse, sentence, or bar-of-music)
· DS: Document signed (printed, or while hand-written by another, is signed by individual sought to be collected)
· LS: Letter Signed (hand-written by someone else, but signed by the individual sought to be collected)
· PS: Photograph Signed or Postcard Signed
· SIG: Signature on index card, cut out of autograph book or letter
· SP: Signed Photograph
· TLS: Typed Letter Signed
· TNS: Typed Note Signed
· folio: A printer's sheet of paper folded once to make two leaves, double quarto size or larger.
· octavo(8vo): A manuscript page about six-by-nine inches. (Originally determined by folding a printer's sheet of paper to form eighty leaves.)
· quarto(4to): A manuscript page of about nine and one-half by twelve inches. (Originally determined by folding a printer's sheet of paper twice to form two leaves.)
Not only does the category determine price, but so does condition, quality, rarity and the person of interest celebrity will also play a major part in determining value. As you will see in future weekly articles; a detail definition of each abbreviation, so you will become more educated in the valuation process of collecting.

You may wonder what is the amazing thing behind Pearls? Well, Pearls are a complex object, to start the iridescence that pearls display is caused by the overlapping of successive layers, which breaks up light falling on the surface. In addition, pearls (especially freshwater pearls) can be dyed yellow, green, blue, brown, pink, purple, or black. I love Black Pearls, they are amazing.

This was the main reason why pearls fetched such extraordinary prices in the past. Imitation or fake pearls are also widely sold in inexpensive jewelry, but the quality of the iridescence is usually very poor, and generally speaking, fake pearls are usually quite easy to distinguish from the real thing.

You need to understand what sort of pearls you are buying, if you buy Pearls that come from Pearls farms you need to understand how they are picked up, these sort of pearls are carefully selected from long-established pearl farms. And then range in size from under 1mm to 20mm giants. Usually this farm pearls are harvested in the cooler winter months, after about two years of cultivation.

Like natural pearls, cultured pearls grow inside of a mollusk, but with human intervention. Cultured pearls are sold by their size in millimeters. Saltwater pearls originate within a saltwater mollusk. Saltwater pearls can be either natural or cultured.

Obviously it is not a surprise for anyone to understand that natural pearls are more expensive and if you are really interested in getting the best pearls in the world, well, you need to Travel all the way to Japan.

When you buy a Pearl you need to ask about the origins and their shapes. This is the way they get classified.

So where do Pearls come from ? Well [earls are formed inside the shell of certain bivalve mollusks: as a response to an irritant inside its shell, the mollusk creates a pearl to seal off the irritation. Pearls come in eight basic shapes: round, semi-round, button, drop, pear, oval, baroque, and circled.

Pearls where before only for fashion, but now you can find pearls have also been crushed and used in cosmetics, medicines, or in paint formulations. Pearls with the smoothest surfaces are the highest-quality, most sought-after pearls.

Regarding buying Pearls as part of Jewelry, you need to know the following: almost all pearls used for jewelry are cultured by planting a core or nucleus into pearl oysters. Abalone from along the Pacific Coast, primarily California, produce both blister and free pearls and their shells are used for inlay in jewelry and other items.

Try to find a company or design that offers these same finer-quality of any Japanese cultured Pearls at a fraction of traditional-store prices. It is not easy but for sure it is possible. Pearls are a great present for many people out there, you will never look out of fashion with a nice Pearl Jewelry necklace, and for sure always buying some high quality pearls is a wise investment. Pearls are perfect for gifts and for that special and romantic occasions

Summer is the season for people to load up their jet skis and head to their favorite lake, for a day of breaking the waves on their jet ski. Winter is the season for snowmobile riders to blaze a trail through the white snow of the mountains and plains. Snowmobiles offer the same speed and freedom as jet skis; the only difference is that they ride on snow and ice rather than water and waves.

Despite differences in terrain, jet skis and snowmobiles are very similar vehicles. Both are designed for one or two riders, at most. Both vehicles are powered by two-stroke or in some cases four-stroke engines. Both are even used for free styling and racing, by those people who need a little more adrenalin in their day.

If one is lucky, they may even live in an area where both types of recreational vehicles can be used year around, depending on the season. Those who live in the South generally only purchase a jet ski, since there is seldom enough snow to call a "snow day". But, those who are fortunate enough to live in winter recreational areas may also have a lake nearby for their summertime entertainment as well.

Buying Recreational Vehicles

If you are going to buy a jet ski, consider the following:

* Are you looking for a personal watercraft to ride standing, or would you prefer a sit-down model?

* Will you be looking for a jet ski that allows you to tow someone in an inner tube or on water skis?

* How large of a jet ski are you looking for? You will want to consider both the size of the hull of the Jet Ski and the size of the engine.

* How much time have you spent on jet skis in the past? The more experience you have had, the more likely it is that you will be able to handle a shorter, more maneuverable model; if you have had less experience, you may want to stick to the longer, wider, more stable design.

On the other hand, if you are looking at snowmobiles, you will want to spend time thinking about:

* Where you will be riding and what kind of riding you will be doing. If you plan to cruise and explore an area, you want a different snowmobile model than what is typically purchased for riding in deep snow or racing.

* How much speed and power can you comfortably handle? While larger engines give the rider more potential for speed, the larger engines are only available in larger snowmobiles that can actually be harder to navigate and control.

* How do your friends ride? If you are buying a snowmobile to ride with friends and they all go for speed, you will have trouble keeping up with them if you buy a cruiser.

In both cases, ask about modifications that can be made to the unit you are buying, and weigh the pros and cons of buying a new or used vehicle.

Modifications and Maintenance

Some manufacturers have designed their Jet Skis and snowmobiles to be customized to a certain degree. As a result, many aftermarket manufacturers offer performance Jet Ski parts and high-performance snowmobile parts for a variety of models.

Many aftermarket manufacturers offer performance engine parts for Jet Skis and snowmobiles. Other manufacturers offer aftermarket parts that are designed to increase the safety factor with the vehicles, in the guise of stronger frame parts.

Of course, all Jet Ski parts are important to the safe operation of the vehicle, but the most important Jet Ski part to maintain is the engine. Be sure to check the oil and flush water from the engine after riding. Additionally, a Jet Ski owner should take the time to reduce salt build up by wiping down their machine after using it; this is especially important if the Jet Ski is ridden in the salt water of the ocean or ocean inlets. Also, the Jet Ski owner needs to make sure that there are not any clogs in the impeller, and they need to make sure that the engine cooling system is working properly.

In terms of snowmobile parts, you will want to make sure the track and suspension are in good working order, as well as the skis and runners. Take the time to look at the drive belt to make sure it isn't frayed or worn; check the fan belt, the engine, and the cooling system.

If you notice a problem or come up against something you do not know how to do, talk with the company that supplies your Jet Ski or snowmobile parts; they can help you troubleshoot your problem and ensure you get the right parts to fix the problem.

Jet Ski and Snowmobile Safety

By taking care to find the right Jet Ski or snowmobile and making sure the vehicle is always well maintained, you are ensuring that you will stay safe while having fun.

As always, it is important that you expend the effort to stay safe so that you can enjoy your Jet Ski and snowmobile for years to come. Be sure to follow the local regulations and wear all of your safety equipment when riding. If you are riding with others on board, be sure to look out for their safety as well.

Jet Skis and snowmobiles are one of the greatest inventions known to mankind. If you don't agree with that statement, I can only conclude that you have never ridden on one yourself. But fun should always be tempered with a respect for the power of the equipment. Have fun, but be safe in doing so.

Discovering the music revolution and why midi's part in it has become mainstream for the industry and essential for many composers and musicians.

Midi Sequencer

The first thing to understand about midi sequencers is that they make no sound of their own. True, some later hardware units come with onboard sounds that the sequencer will use, but when midi sequencers originally came to market they were a stand alone application (both hardware and software units) and it was necessary to plug the midi output of the unit into the midi in of the desired sound module (there were dozens of them; DX7 (keyboard), TX7 (module) various Roland units (Sound Canvas, MT 32), Korg, and many others.

The sequencer's role is to capture, accurately, the digital midi events produced by a midi keyboard or other type of midi controller such as a guitar to midi converter or Yamaha's EWI - a midi wind instrument. The instrument sends out data in 7 bit packets (7 bits allows counting to 128) and tells the receiving unit what type of data is coming, note on, the note number to play, the midi channel it's on, the velocity of the note and, note off.

Over the past years its become more common for designers to use note duration (instead of using key on/key off protocol) as this helps prevent "stuck notes", an unfortunate experience, especially in a live environment, where the sound module hasn't received the "note off" and continues to play one or more sounds.

-----------------------

There are many midi sequencers available from low cost to expensive. I began with Steinberg's Pro24 many years ago using Atari computers and continued throughout Cubase's era until Cubase SX2. I had no end of problems with Cubase when I moved to the PC platform and so began a search for something that would work for me. In the end I came across SAWStudio and the Midi Workshop and, after testing these for a few months, discovered that this combination was rock solid as far as locking audio to midi and vice versa.

I ended up going with SAWStudio + MWS combo and continue to be impressed by how well this setup works - also at this point I must make mention of SAWStudio's excellent sound quality, something missing from my previous experiences. With an install size of just 1.4 meg - a full working environment can be put onto a USB memory stick. SAWStudio's use of computer resources is so low that I have successfully used a Celeron 400 equipped desktop computer to run a full-on theatre restaurant show with music and sound effects, plus running the light show with 3 light controllers chasing midi commands from the Midi WorkShop.

That was fun stuff :)

-----------------------

So - back to the story of the midi-music revolution. First we'll take the example of a 4 piece band. If the musicians are hot players and work well together, it's best to record them direct to tape or disk. What if they're not so great live but have many excellent ideas? Should they sink back into the darkness just because they, so far, haven't developed their playing skills to a high degree? I don't think so - and if it were the case, there would be a hell of a lot of music that would never have come to our attention.

Let's say the 4 piece band play well, but the drummer's kit sounds like a collection of rubbish tins. We could have the band play live and "replace" the drum sounds later (probably keeping the cymbals), or we could program a drum track with some great sounds and have the band follow the track.

Maybe we find we need to add some brass later. No problem - play it live to disk or tape; or add another midi track and play the notes into the track.
Playing the notes into a midi track allows for much flexibility later at the mixing stage as notes can easily be shifted anywhere you desire, and sounds can be altered, to suit blending into the mix, or to be wildly different.

Looking at another area - scoring music for film or TV - we see midi has all but replaced traditional orchestral recording.
Certainly nothing compares with a well recorded live orchestra but, as costs skyrocket, only big budget movies are able to afford such productions leaving most of the production work these days to composers utilizing very large midi systems.
These composers will have thousands of top quality samples to draw from and may even augment their midi composition with live strings or various other live instruments - but the basis of their composition will be midi instruments.

Another area is the lone musician. This scenario is where one person is composing and producing songs whereby he/she might compose the whole backing using midi instruments and then, perhaps, record themselves singing and/or playing guitar along with the backing.

Do you feel that you will learn enough from this article to help you out with the subject matter at hand?

Each culture has its own idea of what is erotic and beautiful. In India, a lady always covers her shoulders, because they are her most private and erogenous feature. In Senegal, a woman's legs are her most erotic feature. In the United States and other western countries, however, there can be no suspect that a woman's breasts are her most prized brute asset. One indigence only to convert on a television, go to the movies or flip open a magazine for testimony that cleavage and breasts reign supreme in America.

Unfortunately, a common of American women are dissatisfied with the amount and mold of their breasts. This can be very frustrating, particularly because the mold of the breasts can be obstinate to alter. If a lady is forlorn with her legs, she can effect and change her diet. If she is forlorn with her breasts however, she may feel that her options for altering them are out of her control.

When people think of breast enhancement today, they think of surgery. In the 1950s, they may have thought of effect or push-up bras. In centuries past, they may have thought of herbs like fenugreek and hops flower when thinking of breast enhancement. Today, most women think of implants.

As we continue, we will take a look at how this new information can be implemented in very special ways.

The most common implants these days, of course, are packed with saline. time ago, implants were commonly packed with silicone. Silicone is now considered by most doctors and patients to be too dodgy to use. If a brackish works bursts or leaks, the brackish water will be absorbed into the body lacking great harm.

Implants can be inserted one of four different ways. They can be inserted through incisions in the creases underneath the breasts. They can be inserted through the skin in an notch made around the nipple. The third choice is for the physician to make an notch near the armpits, and introduce the implants through that area. The fourth, newest and most expensive choice is endoscopic surgery, in which an endoscope, or tiny camera, enables the physician to introduce the implants through a tiny notch in the woman's abdomen button. That a woman's breast implants can now be inserted through her navel is amazing, but true.

Despite the prevalence of surgery as a means for breast enlargement, there is no denying that the fallout are regularly flawed. Not only do implants frequently leak, necessitating a instant surgery, but they regularly just don't look very good. Capsular contracture frequently sets in, squeezing the works and resultant in a hard, fake-looking breast.

More and more women are discovering what their ancestors knew hundreds and even thousands of existence ago: herbs can be worn to enhance breast health, density and size. Today's breast enhancement pills use sound science, along with some ancient ingredients, to help enlarge women's breasts naturally, lacking side effects. They are significantly minus expensive than surgery, as well, which is an added bonus.

These pills are commonly made of non-hormonal works estrogen, or phytoestrogen. The phytoestrogen activates the prostaglandins in the woman's breasts. Prostaglandins, first discovered in the 1930s by Swedish scientist Ulf von Euler, control and communicate with glands. The phytoestrogens promote breast gland increase related to the increase which genuinely occurs during puberty.
